Dun & Bradstreet Rating

Dun & Bradstreet Rating enhances a business’s credibility with third parties, lenders, suppliers, banks and other companies they do business with. Dun & Bradstreet Rating is simply a collection of scores and ratings which showcases the financial health of a company. Dun & Bradstreet Rating is divided into two types:

Rating Classification

This is a combination of numbers and letters representing a company’s size based on worth or equity. A 5A rating indicates that the net worth of the company is $50 million or more. Likewise, a smaller company with a net worth under $5,000 will have an HH rating.

Composite Credit Appraisal:

This rating basically ranges from 1 to 4 and indicates a company’s overall creditworthiness. For instance, 1 represents the most creditworthy. The rating is calculated based on several information collected from the company's payment histories, years in operation, financial information, public records, etc.,

MSME Registration

Getting your company registered under MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) act, promises lots of advantages with regards to taxation, loans, credit facilities and ease of doing business. The MSME act was established on October 02, 2006, to promote and encourage the micro, small and medium enterprises. Based on their investments, the enterprises are classified into:

• Micro Enterprises: Investment up to Rs.25 lakhs for manufacturing and Rs. 10 Lakh for the service sector.
• Small Enterprises: Investment between Rs.25 lakhs to Rs.5 crore for manufacturing and Rs. 10 Lakh to Rs.2 crore for the service sector

FSSAI Licenses

A food permit issued by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is mandatory for companies involved in food-related business. Established under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, FSSAI looks after the quality of foods being delivered. Every food business operator involved in either manufacturing, processing, storage, packaging and distribution of any kind of food products is obliged to obtain FSSAI Registration or License. This is a 14-digit registration number printed on all the food packages.

Based on the business volume, turnover, and the premise location, FSSAI License and registration is categorized into three sections:

• Basic license: Applicable for businesses with annual turnover below 12 Lakh rupees
• State license: Applicable for businesses whose annual turnover is above 12 Lakh rupees but less than 20 crore rupees
• Central license: Applicable for businesses whose annual turnover exceeds 20 crore rupees and must compulsorily have operations in two or more states.

CDSCO

The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) is responsible for laying down the standards for maintaining the quality of imported drugs, clinical trials and approval of new drugs in the country. As per Rule 21 of Drugs & Cosmetics Rules, 1945, all companies dealing with manufacturing, storage and distribution of cosmetic products must possess a valid CDSCO license.
