Job Summary:

The Warehouse Manager oversees the daily operations of the warehouse to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This role involves managing staff, optimizing workflows, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Warehouse Operations Management

    • Plan, organize, and oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
    • Develop and implement processes to improve operational efficiency.
    • Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of goods to meet customer demands.
  2. Inventory Control

    • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
    • Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
    • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  3. Team Leadership and Development

    • Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff.
    • Assign tasks, set performance goals, and monitor team productivity.
    • Provide coaching and performance feedback to ensure a high-performing team.
  4. Safety and Compliance

    • Ensure all warehouse activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Conduct regular safety training and audits to promote a safe working environment.
    • Maintain compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  5. Facility and Equipment Management

    • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the warehouse facility.
    • Ensure all equipment is in good working order and schedule repairs as needed.
  6. Coordination and Communication

    • Collaborate with procurement, transportation, and customer service teams to optimize supply chain operations.
    • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to address operational challenges.
    • Prepare and present operational reports to management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics (5+ years preferred).
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office applications.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management abilities.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Forklift certification (preferred).
